It uses the 800-volt architecture found on the Porsche Taycan, and that changes everything on long trips: at the right charger it goes from 10 to 80% in eighteen minutes, the length of a coffee break. That is its weapon against Tesla, which despite a better network charges more slowly in absolute terms. Inside, the very long wheelbase (three metres) creates space worthy of a larger class, with a rear bench that slides fore and aft and a driver's seat with powered leg rest for charging stops. There is even a 220V socket for running appliances outdoors. The pixel design divides opinion, but nobody mistakes it for anything else. The drawback: it is deceptively big — larger in the metal than in photos, and you feel it in town.
